Yarn Disfunction

Alright, the moving process has me in hyper-organization mode. I was putting away all my new yarn for all of my new projects and was confronted with one of my dirty little craft secrets. Tangled yarn scraps!

A few years ago I bought a bunch of yarn for really cheap at a craft store. The yarn brand will rename nameless, but let's just say that each skein was a tangled mess even before I got my hands on it. I used it to make and unmake numerous things and then my life got hectic/my mind wandered and the leftovers ended up at the bottom of a box.

Well, I decided to reclaim the scraps.

Little did I know it was going to be a day long project.

I tackled the orange-brown yarn first because I want to make a doll for a friend.

This is about a third of the way through the process.

Hours later - here's what I had.

Oh, the sense of accomplishment I felt. And then, I remembered there were two more to go.

Wish me luck.

  1. I am so impressed with anyone that can Crochet. I gave a most dedicated attempt and wound up with the lumpiest square that I was ashamed to even use as a pot holder. Ha ha it was a sight to see.
Thanks for adding us to your side bar. We are honored.

  2. Ha! Crocheting is easy. Finishing is hard. Hopefully there will be some finished projects in the future.
    I love your blog!

    Peace,
